The Spring Ag Tour will depart from the DoubleTree via charter bus. The tour will begin with a water tour led by Josh Weimer, External Affairs Department Manager at Turlock Irrigation District, and will include a visit to facilities including TID’s Hilmar Regulating Reservoir to illustrate the district’s flow operations, a virtual tour of the district’s “high” facilities including the New Don Pedro Dam & Powerhouse, and additional stops. The tour will include discussions of current water conditions, and political regulations affecting supplies, including SGMA and the status of Voluntary Agreements for Unimpaired Flows on the Tuolumne River. The afternoon will include multiple local agricultural facility tours which are still being finalized, but are likely to include vegetable processing and farmstead flavored milk and/or artisan cheese operations.
