The Real Estate Appraiser’s primary responsibility is to prepare accurate appraisal reports of real property. Additional responsibilities include analyzing sales and rental data used in developing appraisal reports, verifying accuracy of legal descriptions, reviewing preliminary title reports to ensure the safety of the collateral, and serve as a resource to both the credit and appraisal staff. Applicant must be capable of establishing and maintaining good customer relations by providing ongoing communications, coordination, and assistance throughout the appraisal process.
If not licensed, the Real Estate Appraiser will work towards receiving certification as a State Certified General Appraiser. The position is
accountable for successful completion of the educational coursework, hours of required appraisal experience, and written exam to receive
certification as a State Certified General Appraiser. The position, under supervision of a licensed appraiser will learn Association procedures as they apply to the appraisal function, complete appraisals, develop appraisal support data, and undertake projects relating to appraisals as assigned.
